The Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Project Management (MSM-PM) is a 48-credit-hour program offered online and at both Colorado campuses. The program includes 28 credit hours devoted to the management core and 20 credit hours for the project management concentration.
This program is for students who may not have an undergraduate degree in business, yet want to study project management. This concentration is designed to help the student develop the skills and knowledge of an effective project manager, including time/conflict management; teams and HR management; risk analysis and management; scheduling techniques; organizations and processes; cost, budgeting, and scheduling; procurement and contracting; and control systems implementation. Program content covers key areas contained in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), considered to be the industry standard.
This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

University DeanDr. Stetar is the University Dean of the College of Business and Management at CTU. He has over 28 years of experience as an educator, filling roles in both the teaching and administration areas across a range of academic programs and divisions in the fields of Business, IT and Applied Communications at institutions in four different countries.
Cynthia Solari, DBA
Executive Program DirectorDr. Solari is an Executive Program Director for CTU's College of Business and Management. She has spent over 20 years in higher education, pre-dominantly in an operations role, focusing on organizational change and leadership development strategies within the non-traditional and online sector.

CTU’s Master of Science in Management (MSM) in Project Management Degree Program is designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant for pursuing potential opportunities in the workforce. This management degree program emphasizes a solid base of knowledge to address pressing management challenges using industry-recognized models and techniques. The program covers key areas such as project scope, time and cost management, risk analysis, procurement and scheduling.
As you work to complete your MSM, you will be immersed in courses where you will study these topics and much more: the project lifecycle and project management techniques that are used to efficiently manage projects; a hands-on approach to using project management tools to facilitate scheduling, estimating, tracking, and controlling the schedule and costs; and how to write, negotiate, and adhere to contracts.
Courses for the Master of Science in Management in Project Management start online and on our Colorado Springs campus approximately every five weeks. Completion of the CTU admissions process will depend on how quickly you complete the steps in the CTU online application process. You may complete the application process over the phone with an advisor or you may go online. Once you’ve completed the online application, you may hear from an advisor within the following 24 hours to discuss the next steps toward starting your degree program. Master’s programs may have additional entrance requirements that take additional processing time.
The Master of Science in Management in Project Management degree program consists of 48 credits. You may be eligible for transfer credit, which is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer.
As you study topics in management that are always being evaluated and updated to reflect industry-relevant trends, you will experience a curriculum through classroom learning and hands-on experience that aligns to industry standards and helps you work to develop skills that are applicable to the competitive global business environment.
