Program Overview

The Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Project Management (MSM-PM) is a 48-credit-hour program offered online and at both Colorado campuses. The program includes 28 credit hours devoted to the management core and 20 credit hours for the project management concentration.

This program is for students who may not have an undergraduate degree in business, yet want to study project management. This concentration is designed to help the student develop the skills and knowledge of an effective project manager, including time/conflict management; teams and HR management; risk analysis and management; scheduling techniques; organizations and processes; cost, budgeting, and scheduling; procurement and contracting; and control systems implementation. Program content covers key areas contained in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), considered to be the industry standard.

 

This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification.  As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

Dr. Solari is an Executive Program Director for CTU's College of Business and Management. She has spent over 20 years in higher education, pre-dominantly in an operations role, focusing on organizational change and leadership development strategies within the non-traditional and online sector.
